The cologne 4.0 OHV puts out 225lb ft. In a 3000 lb truck with a stick its very noticeable. This subaru has 165lb ft and it weighs 3800lbs

lol try a diesel truck if you want torque.

I’m aware.
nd I’ve got the SOHC version that puts out 254ft lb. It’s still not an engine I’d describe as having anything more than adequate torque.

Except the part where the curb weight on the outback is 3400lbs at most.
Not to mention the 2.5L 4 cylinder in the Outback makes the same amount of horsepower as your 4.0L V6, which is tragic.

I feel like I’m looking at a 1970s Decopage project.

Keep in mind your mustang weighs almost 1000 lbs more than my truck So you’ll feel it less

Whereare you seeing a 4 cyl outback weighs 3800? New ones don’t even weigh that much.

Yep, 1,000lbs more.

I’m not sure where your pulling 3000 lbs from. That figure is for the 4 cylinder regular cab. With the 4.0 and extended cab you’re a few hundred pounds over that.
But there is still a difference in touque, although it’s insignificant.

.....I have a weird sensation of vaguely missing my old jetta covered in beer labels. I miss that crapcan for shock value. Coilovers and beer labels and black spraypaint......good times.
